Useless Judgement |
This song meditates on human ambition for unlimited power.
Recorded before the Velvet Revolution in 1989, with a strong influence of
the anti-nuclear-war propaganda spirit of the communist regime. Reflection
of songs Uz je po (It’s
All Over by Olympic), Bozsky klid (Heavenly Peace by OK
Band) and Kolej Yesterday (Yesterday Dormitory by Michal Prokop).

Getting Even |
Having set this beautiful poetry by Jacques Prévert to music,
I recorded this song with Mikes in times of our guesting in theater Suteren
(later Baret S.). Memory to Petr Mohr. |

Mr. Aluminium |
Mr. Aluminium originated from Humpolec. For more see the next
song. |

A Short Night |
This eulogy on Monika Vorechovska’s long hair has much to do
with Mikes’s trips to Humpolec. Mikes invited me once and I
understood him.

The Long Street |
Mikes wrote this song as a glorification of Husova street in
Jicin, where he used to live as a young boy. It's a street, where it all
began. |

Confession |
In my teens I felt very lonely without love, so I wrote this
desperate confession. |

Magic Might |
The Summer has its magic might. For me and Dr.MOZSE this song means the same
as Yesterday for
The Beatles. A
fate, unbeatable and quite simple song.
It describes my July 1985 adventure with Lucie Bartova of Lenora, with whom
I spent a wonderful Summer dream in Drevenice Camp. She’s never heard the
song. I wrote nothing better since then, though I wrote resuming songs later
(Strange Sickness,
Strange Help and
Strange Helplessness). The melody
inspired the Chinaski’s song of Mlada garda. |

Smoke |
Response to Tomas Vorel‘s movie Kour (The Smoke).

Strange Sickness |
Fading love
causes
a strange sickness. The song tells a story about my love
Ivona in my college time in Prague. Also, it reflects the fading bitterness
of my previous love
Ilona. |
Epilogue |
Originally, I prepared lyrics for this melody reflecting a
scene from movie Jak basnikum chutna život (How the Poets Enjoy Life). The
song remained without lyrics at last. |
Reichenberg |
This is a just a fun. Boris brought this song from Liberec (Reichenberg).
Inspired by Vlada Misik's song Sladke je
zit. |
